This is my favorite sushi place. I don't understand what the bad reviews are for this place is A1. Me and my girlfriend always come here for happy hour because its affordable and it taste great. This is the best sushi spot in town and it is way underrated. Maybe some people are too picky, i dunno but y'all need to come here a s a p.
The sushi is great and the staff is also very friendly and attentive. Even the sushi masters check up on you and ask u if everything is ok. Smile people and have a good time. The energy will be reciprocated here and that is another reason we come here. They treat us really well here.
Sushi taste better with a smile on your face :)

This was my first time here and I had a bad experience.
We came here for happy hour at 9pm where everything is a lot cheaper. We ordered our food and wanted to use the check in offer for free beef gyozas. They told us we can't use it for happy hour even though it doesn't say that on the offer. I ordered a california roll and Philadelphia roll. They make their sushi with a thick layer of rice. I ordered cheese corn and it was slightly burnt on the top and tasted like canned corn with melted string cheese on top. I did not like the flavor of it. I also ordered the beef gyoza and it only came with 3 and those were the best out of everything I ordered.
While in the middle of eating they told us they closed at 9:30 and that if we still wanted to order, then to order now. We came on a Thursday and it clearly says they close at 10:30pm. My friend ordered another california roll and they brought it out looking messy. While eating our meal we felt rushed as they already gave us our check in the middle and asked us to pay by 9:30. We felt like they did not want to tend to our needs and instead were just trying to close as fast as possible.
Another thing that was annoying was that we couldn't split our check for happy hour which is something we do when we go out to eat. Although everything was cheap, I wouldn't come back. -

A total ripoff.
Ordered from the menu where it said salmon AND yellowtail, for 6.95.
When they served it, it was two dishes. One salmon and one yellowtail. And they charged me for both, despite admitting that the description in the menu was wrong. I didn't argue, but simply paid and left. It was my first time there, and needless to say, I won't go back. What happened to morals and ethics? -

It's affordable. Happy hour deals are great! Atmosphere is nice looking too. You get seated quickly and the food comes out pretty fast. I just wasn't impressed with the sushi. The presentation was basic and the taste didn't WOW me.

**CHECK-IN ON YELP FOR FREE BEEF GYOZA**
GREAT HAPPY HOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Came here for happy hour yesterday with a couple of co-workers!
LOCATION: same plaza as Tandoori Fresh, The Habit, Hole Mole, and a couple of other restaurants.
PARKING: closer parking can be tight, but if you have trouble just move to the middle of the lot. There's more open spaces and the walk isn't too bad.
RESTAURANT: average size restaurant, can accommodate both large and small parties. We were able to get our own booth for 4 people beside the window.
MENU: Their happy hour menu was extensive. I was extremely impressed by the selection and the insanely cheap pricing. Most items were from $1 to $9 depending on what you order. They also have rolls for $3 as well! Their sake is $4 for a large bottle and the beers were impressive. You get a 16oz for $2, 32oz for $4, or 60oz for $8. That's freaking insane.
Here's what I ended up getting:
32oz Kirin (5/5): HUGE on it's own already. I almost got the 60oz, but so happy I only got the 32oz because the glass is the size of my head. I kid you not. It took me awhile to finish my beer with all of my food, but it was absolutely delicious.
Large Sake (5/5): We got two rounds of the sake, but it was really good. A large bottle gets about 6 shots, which is the perfect amount.
Beef Gyoza (5/5): Got this with the Yelp check-in. Gyozas were piping hot and extra crispy. The dip that came with it had a bit of spice in it, which I love. They also threw a ton of sesame seeds in it. Not bad for a free item.
Spicy Tuna Crunch Roll (4/5): I love deep fried rolls and I thought this one was decent. I felt the spicy tuna could be spicier and it needed a bit more flavor, but it wasn't bad. Roll came with 5 pieces.
Red Rock (5/5): Basically a bigger version of the spicy tuna crunch, but the crispy rice was really good. An order came with two large pieces; I could barely put my mouth around it so I had to take small bites. I really enjoyed this.
Garlic Edamame (5/5): SO GOOD. I wish I had more room to eat this because it's so full of garlicky flavor. I really enjoyed this and think it's a great deal for $3!
CONCLUSION: Had a super good time here with my co-workers. I think Maru Sushi might be our new hangout spot. The food was good and the drinks were super cheap. Absolutely coming back here as often as I can!
